The purpose of this privacy policy is to let you (landlords, property management agencies, tenants, contractors) know that when we (Rented Property Solutions Ltd.) collect personal information and what we do with it.

We treat your privacy seriously and comply with the Privacy Act 2020. We use your personal information for the purpose of which it was collected. You agree that your use of any services provided by our platform indicates your acceptance of this Policy. When interact with us through registration, enqueries, tenancy applications you consent us to the collection, use, and disclosure of your personal information.

When you sign up with a Google account or sign up with an email address, we collect below information from your Google profile, or the registration form.

• Last name
• Email address

Additionally, we collect personal information from you, including information about your:

• contact information
• location
• address
• interactions with us
• billing or purchase information

For tenants and tenancy applicants, we collect additional information:

• Legal names
• gender
• date of birth
• identifications
• emergency contact details

We collect your personal information in order to:

For tenants, besides our support staff, with your consent, we share your information with:

• credit checking agencies in order to carry out credit history checking
• prospective landlord in order to process tenancy applications

Providing some information is optional. If you choose not to enter your personal details or identifications, we'll be still able to process your tenancy applications, but a landlord may not accept your application.

We keep your information safe by storing securely in a private storage and database. We only allow prospective landlord, and our support staff to access tenants information.

We keep your information for 1 year after a tenancy ended at which point we securely destroy it by removing your personal data.

You have the right to ask for a copy of any personal information we hold about you, and to ask for it to be corrected if you think it is wrong. If you'd like to ask for a copy of your information, or to have it corrected, please contact us at info@rented.co.nz.

This privacy policy will be reviewed and updated from time to time to take into account new legislations and technologies, and changes to our services provided.

If a change is made, we will update the last updated date at the top of this policy. You may check this page from time to time to see if any changes have been made. Your continued use of our services after the revised policy last updated date indicates your acceptance of these changes.
